"The Covid-19 Time machine"

Jose Magsaysay Jr (JoMag)

The world rarely pauses for anything or anyone, it won't pause for a tsunami, an earthquake, or even multiple volcano eruptions, not many things can stop commerce, social interaction, and travel, and very rarely do you see a moment in time wherein separating the person from their money is the hardest thing to do. The world has officially paused.

I imagine that being in this pause is like being in a time machine, normally when a person hits pause, everyone around them still continues to move, and therefore leaving the individual behind, normally we wouldn't have time to just stop and restart our actions, because the moment we stop, someone is bound to get ahead of us, but because this "time machine" we have entered, we all have the opportunity to hit pause, we can all stop for a moment and press restart, because this time, everyone else is on pause with you.

I look at this moment as an opportunity, and as should everyone else. This is especially an opportunity for businesses, whether old or new, to be able to look at their businesses with fresh eyes and clear mind, they now have the time and opportunity to reflect on what they can change and improve on so that when the world starts again, they can be the better version of themselves. They can ask themselves "What can I do?" or "What will I do?" and they can ask themselves these questions without the pressure of falling behind.

I look at this "time machine" that we are in not just as an opportunity but a blessing as well, I will use this time machine to hit restart on everything I do, whether it be in my personal or professional life, because after much reflection I now know what I should and should not do. I encourage everyone to look at this as a blessing that we are able to restart and reinvent ourselves, as I am now "restarting" myself for the betterment of my future and the future of those around me.
